ARP 14mm L19 head studs are a critical component for maximum reliability and are designed for the most extreme applications.  A head stud ensures more accurate torque loading and consistent head gasket clamping forces.  When compared to a traditional head bolt a smaller portion of the fastener torque is wasted in friction and fastener twist so more force can be applied toward sealing the head gasket. Head gasket sealing is more often than not the Achillies heal of building for power. Increased combustion pressures will try to lift the head and reduce the sealing effectiveness of the gasket.

All ARP head studs are centerless ground for concentricity with cold rolled threads for maximum fatigue strength.  L19 alloy has a 260ksi tensile strength which is nearly 20% stronger than ARP2000.  It is important that these head studs not be exposed to moisture.  An allen hex is broached into the end of the stud for easy installation and removal.  These studs are intended for EJ applications but can also be used for FA applications.

These head studs are 14 x 2.00mm thread size and will require machine work to both block and heads for fitment.  Unlike competitor's 1.5mm thread pitch the 2.00mm thread pitch provides a stronger block thread to avoid pull-out.  

Supplied with oversized dowel pins for improved strength and location accuracy when compared to split stock dowels but they do require precision machine work for fitment and modification of the head gaskets.
