Motul 8100 Power engine oil (replaces Motul Sport) is an ester-based synthetic oil inspired by Motul 300V competition oils but blended for improved catalytic converter compatibility and high performance road use meeting API standards.

Provides outstanding oil film resistance at very high temperatures for maximum power and torque as well as maximum wear protection. Formulated to cope with high levels of fuel dilution and is fully compatible with biofuels such as E85.

Viscosity is a measure of how easily the oil flows with muti-viscosity ratings indicating the viscosity when cold (winter weight - the number before the "W") and when hot (the second number).  Optimal viscosity selection is a balance between ensuring the oil flows easily during cold starting and maintaining sufficient oil pressure at maximum expected oil temperatures.  Highly tuned turbocharged engines generally require a higher hot viscosity number because the oil must deal with greater heat loads.  Our starting recommendation for turbocharged Subaru engines is 5W40 for year round general use and 15W50 for warm weather track use.
