Knock Sensor MY06-21
The knock sensor bolts to the top of the engine block and generates a voltage signal based on a noise frequency that corresponds to engine knock. The ECU responds to the knock signal by reducing ignition timing.
A faulty sensor or damaged wire lead or connector can set a fault code resulting in a CEL.
