Timing Belt Guide Crankshaft Sprocket
Timing belt guides help ensure the timing belt teeth remain engaged to the sprocket teeth even during sudden changes in engine speed. The crank sprocket guide is attached to the block with two M6 bolts and has slight adjustability and should be set with the correct minimum clearance to the timing belt according to the service manual. Failure to do so may result in the belt contacting the guide resulting in belt damage. Fits most manual trans EJ applications from MY98 onward.
