RalliSpec FA20 Short Block S1 (600bhp) - Street Spec

Our Street Spec FA20 short block is fully built with forged pistons and rods to support higher power levels and withstand demanding track use yet is perfectly at home in a daily driven street application.

We start with a new factory block case and crankshaft that have been ultrasonically cleaned, inspected, and measured.   We fit ACL tri-metal bearings for increased load carrying capacity and reliability.  Saenz 4340 chromoly H-beam connecting rods with ARP2000 rod bolts connect the crank to the pistons and are rated to handle over 800bhp.  Finally, we use our new IRP pistons.  Forged from the highest quality 2618/A1 alloy and utilizing an F1-inspired double bridged design for incredible strength and rigidity.  Hard anodizing of the crown and upper ring lands reduces thermal transfer while greatly improving wear resistance in order to maintain excellent ring seal over significant mileage and hard use.  A sacrificial skirt coating reduces friction.  A high-performance Japanese ring set rounds out the build.

The unique feature of our build is a carefully designed 2618 forged piston that is able to run with tight clearances for low noise, reduced blow-by, and minimal oil consumption.  This short block will outlast the competition while handling just about anything you can throw at it.

Every short block is assembled by our master engine technician with 25 years of Subaru performance engine building experience in our dedicated engine room to exacting specifications.  All relevant engine specifications are logged and a detailed blueprint sheet is provided.

Short block is assembled with plugs, covers, and rear main seal included.

Covered by a 1 year limited warranty.
