Subaru Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP) - STI MY08+
Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP sensor) is located on the throttle body and measures intake manifold pressure as an input to the ECU. Used for boost control, fueling & ignition timing, etc.
A faulty MAP sensor can cause rough running conditions or stalling as well as boost control issues and may set a fault code. It is not uncommon for the sensor to get plugged with carbon debris from engine blow-by.
