Subaru Shimless Valve Lifter 510-565
Genuine Subaru valve lifter for EJ applications using 35mm diameter lifters (standard on EJ257/EJ255/EJ207/EJ20X/EJ20Y). These are shimless type so the thickness is variable and must be selected according to the requirements necessary to achieve the desired valve clearance specification. The lifter number represents the thickness in millimeters (438 = 4.38mm).
These lifters can be used to replace shim-over or shim-under lifters of the same 35mm diameter size (for example the USDM EJ205).
Please ensure that the lifter bore is in good condition and allows free rotation of the lifter without excessive clearance. Use of assembly lubricant such as Driven Engine Assembly Grease is necessary to protect the cam and lifter during initial startup. Failure to follow these recommendations may result in lifter and cam lobe failure.
Sold individually. We stock a limited quantity of each size across the full size range. Orders for large quantities of a single size will most likely require substitutions of nearby sizes or special ordering from Japan. In these cases we will contact you for authorization to make substitutions. If we do not receive a reply within 1 business day we will automatically make reasonable substitutions if possible.
